MOM!

My mom is coming out to Chicago on THURSDAY!! She is coming to be with me when I have my baby and help with a newborn.... because I am HAVING A BABY!! Any day. What?!?! So crazy!

Evil dumpster animal part 2

One night as we were walking back from our car, we walked past the dumpster. I  glanced over and saw the most gigantic RAT I have ever seen. Like cat size! Again, I scream and run, Jordan stands there, and I go back to him. By this time the huge rat had hoped off to the side and into more light where you could see that is is a gross POSSUM! I thought that a raccoon was bad but a possum! We live in a gross zoo! Gag!

There is a dumpster in the parking lot at our apartment. One night, we were throwing away some boxes we had unpacked and I swear I saw something move in the dumpster. I screamed and started running back to the building. Jordan was standing there confused so I came back to rescue him from an evil beast. We got the car and shinned the lights on the trash and there was a RACCOON eating away! He wasn't scared of us at all! I don't know if you have ever seen ELF (my favorite movie), but raccoons are NOT nice even if you are soooo nice to them!

 

I decided I would never go near the dumpster at night again.  But sometimes you forget when you make promises like that...

Lime green SNAKE!

A few weeks ago, there was a group of like 10 people standing outside our apartment building looking up at a tree. As we approached, a little boy yelled, "Look at this snake in the tree!" I started booking it inside, but Jordan stopped to see it. There was a little lime green garden snake up with the branches. Right outside my building. A snake. That is disgusting.

FULL TERM!

I am officially full term this week! I am so excited to have this baby! I have loved being pregnant... until the last few weeks. I have heart burn almost 24/7, my feet are so swollen and sore, my right hip/groin hurts to move and makes it really hard to sleep, my lower back hurts after 30 minutes of walking or doing anything really, a lot of foods are making me sick and I am starting to get really bad back cramps. But soon it will all be over! I just want my mom (and maybe my mother-in-law) to get here so we can finish the baby's room, buy a car for me, and have this poor nameless girl human!

Time to write!

Now that I am not living with all of my family in California, I want to start blogging again! It didn't make sense to blog when most of my readers are family and they knew  everything I was doing anyway!
Well, we made it to Chicago! We live forty minutes north west of the city in Schaumburg. We have a little two bedroom apartment in an older building that has been kept up nicely. It will be great for us for the time being! The hallway outside our apartment smells funky. I have tried to Febreeze it a few times... like drenched the carpet. It didn't work. I think we  have some ethnic cookers by us that just stink up the place. But our apartment smells fine so at least there is that. We have beeen here for a week but the movers have not come with most of our things yet! We needed to get some more furniture anyway so we got the things we needed and set those up so at least we have something! The movers should be here any day now. We had a great trip out here that I can't wait to share with you soon!

So I have not posted in a billion years! I guess I have to go all the way back to December!
WE GRADUATED! Jordan graduated magna cum laude (top in Economics with a 3.9 GPA in just 3 years of school. He is a stud! I finished my 2000 hours of school, the 200 theory class hours, all of the service requirements, and passed both the practical and theory cosmetology/barbering exams! The last bit of school was really insane...and we had to pack up our whole house in our few extra minutes of free time! I just wanted to get it all done so badly! Leaving was bittersweet though... I made some amazing friends and I had some of the greatest teachers that became my great friends too. We loved living in Provo and we really miss it already! As soon as I finished my last few hours at school, we hopped in our cars and drove home to California for Christmas! We had to drive separately to get both our cars and all of our stuff down here! It was a loooonnnggg drive!
