stench

So, as any good housewife does, I pour any grease into a jar so it does not clog up my drain. Today, the jar was full so I asked my wonderful superman of a husband to take care of it. As he starts to spoon it into the trashcan, he starts to gag. He runs over to the candy dish and shoves chocolate covered acai up his nose to stop the terrible smell! I was cracking up for so long. I love my husband! He is so sweet to me!

More family!

My mom was here Sunday-Thursday! McCall came the very next day after mom left and stayed Friday-Monday! It has been so fun!! So after a lonely Tuesday-Thursday, my mom and dad are coming tomorrow! My grandma, Darling's sister (Auntie Ruthie) passed away so they are coming for her funeral on Saturday in Salt Lake City. Can't wait to spend some time with them!

ramblings

I had the day off from school today... We have a teacher in-service the last Wednesday of every month. I went wedding dress shopping with a couple of friends! She is getting married in Hawaii! A dream, huh??

I cleaned my house up! When my mom came, she deep cleaned my house!! It is great! So now if only takes a little bit to get it looking spiffy!

I spent 3 hours shopping using gift cards from our wedding/Christmas/birthday! If was so fun!

Now I am watching TV waiting to Jordan...he won't be home until after 10 :(

I want straight across bangs, but Jordan thinks they are ugly! What do you think??

Her hair is so long and beautiful... kinda makes me miss my hair but I really do still love my hair cut! For those who care, I did a diagonal slice with 5 RR and 6 RB Paul Mitchell the color together and Dual Purpose Lightener. :)

McCall is staying with us this weekend so while we were watching the all-star NBA game, she was so kind to let me play with her hair! It is not often that I have complete freedom to play with hair... and I'm so used to roommates or sisters around and Jordan's hair just isn't long enough! haha. To make this clear, I don't think this is a pretty style, but it would be cool runway or photo shoot hair!! It's just something that has been in my head for a while. Tell me what you think! Plus I cut and colored her hair on Saturday! :)PS Cool blanket McCall!

Bowling!

I never really liked bowling. Or mini-golf. Whether it is because I am terrible at both or those are classic boring first date activities is debatable. Jordan LOVES both. Especially bowling. The shoes are ADORABLE but smelly and warm. Yuck. And Jordan has his own ball and shoes! So I was so excited to get a ball and shoes for Christmas! We went the other day and I came to a realization. There is a (unfair) judgment placed on people who walk in with their own bags. They think you are good.

I broke 100 one time in my life.

Awkward!Jordan is sad because I beat him...well he was bowling left handed or something, but still!!!PROOF!!! The only time ever, I'm sure! He is actually pretty decent!Aren't my shoes adorable?? My ball is pink too! :)

I love my family!

My mom is coming to visit us for a few days and driving up to Idaho to visit my little sister for a few days! I am so excited! My family are my best friends! If Caitlin and my dad came, it would be perfect! I love these guys!!

Our life.

We have settled into a routine. I go to school Tuesday through Saturday from 9am-4:30pm. Jordan has school from about 8 or 9am- 8pm Monday through Thursday but usually is home by 5 or 6 on Mondays and that is our one weeknight we can count on. He has a GMAT prep class 8 hours a week (Wedneasday night and 8am-12pm Saturday morning), taking 15 credits, in the Strategy club, Consulting club, lots of job fairs, internship fairs... He's trying to experience everything and take advantage of all that he can while he's here. He wants an internship this summer, prefferably arond here in Utah so I can continue school. Jordan will graduate after the fall semester and I will be done around the same time too. Who knows where we will be next winter! It is so exciting! (and scary but let's not talk about it!) After a couple years of working, Jordan will go on to get his MBA because all of the business schools require work experience.
That's our life, our amazing life, and our plans. It is so fun and exciting to be us! I'd be jeal if I were you! We hardly ever see each other right now, but we love each other and are having a blast!!

We are bringing dessert to my cousin's house tomorrow after baby Jordan's baby blessing... okay, and their Super Bowl party! Jordan and I were talking about some ideas and I suggested magic cookie bars or whatever they are called.
Jordan- "Sounds complicated"
Me- "There is a mix that has it all in it"
Jordan- "Let's go to the freezer section"
I walk down the ice cream isle
Jordan- "Where are you going"
Me- "You said you wanted to"
Jordan- "Oh I meant the section with the cookie dough and stuff"
We go to the refrigerated cookie section
Me- "You really want to take break n' bake cookies to a party?"
Jordan- "You said you wanted the already made cookies!"
Me- "I was talking about a box like a brownie mix, like on the isle with the flour."

We both thought we were doing what the other one wanted. It was pretty funny when we realized Jordan said freezer, but meant fridge inly because he thought thats what I was talking about. hahah. Oh miscommunication!

...you will be after reading this! My friend Gigi tagged me to post 15 interesting things (or just things in general) about me and since I have no better ideas, I'll do it!

1. I only wash my hair every two days... or three... rarely four.
2. I spend at least forty minutes a day reading blogs, but am a terrible blogger myself!
3. I still haven't cleaned up from my birthday party almost a week ago.
4. My house is currently 55 degrees. brrrr.
5. I never pay attention to the begging of movies I watch at home so the rest of it is boring. (Yes, we started a movie ten minutes ago!)
6. I've read every Nicholas Sparks book. He is my favorite author.
7. My husband replaced my missing hub cap for my birthday. (Well, he has yet to put it on, but I have it) Let's just say Valentines Day better be good.
8. I love giraffes!
9. My mom is my best friend. We talk every single day at 4:30. Sometimes more too.
10. I have a bowling ball and shoes, but am the worst bowler I know. At least I look good!
11. I wish I had nieces and nephews. It seems like fun!
12. I am obsessed with Blake Griffin (Clippers #32) and Jimmer Fredette (BYU #32)
13. I am terrible at coming up with dinner ideas. I usually just make up different Mexican foods together and call it good. Last night was taquito/enchilada-type-surprise!
14. I love Diet Dr. Pepper. It is my favorite beverage!
15. I sleep with my phone under my pillow every night. My security blanket.

birthday!

Sunday was my birthday and we had about 25 people over! It was a little reunion for all our friends from home! It was so fun, but I learned it is not that fun to host a big party on my birthday!

its been a while!

So this is me a couple weeks ago. We had a guest artist, Dave Holland who is one of the top artists in the Paul Mitchell company! He came up to me and asked if he could cut my hair! I couldn't refuse!














I was really nervous I would miss the length but it is so fun and easy to do!I love it! I will probably just start that whole growing out process all over again just to cut it again! Such is the life of a hair dresser!
